The Mardi Himal Trek is a short and nearest trek near Pokhara. This trek is known as a less crowded and moderate route in the Annapurna region. Mardi Himal trek offers exciting 360 panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Machhapuchre, Annapurna, himchuli, and other peaks ranges. there are other alternative places to start Mardi Himal as well. Normally Mardi Himal trek starts from Kande after 45 minutes of driving from Pokhara. The trail goes through Australia camp, pothana, derail, forest camp, low camp, high camp, and hike to Mardi Himal base camp which offers spectacular close-up views of the entire Annapurna Range.

The winter season is suitable for those who love snowy trails, snowfalls, and playing in the snow. During winter season the entire Mardi Himal and other mountains are covered by fresh snow with frequent snowfalls. The mardi himal trek passes through a lush and dense forest of rhododendron as well as it provides an experience of local Gurung and Magar community culture throughout the whole trip this trek is best for bird and butterfly watching. It offers you so many different species of birds and animals as well.

Normally this trek takes around 6 to 8 days depending on your trip itinerary normally weather will be warm during the day and night is cold and the autumn season comes after monsoon season which clears up the weather that makes great stunning views of the mountain and sky is surrounding by the star in the night. The weather is clear and suitable for grandeur sunrise and sunset views and sometimes it is little chance of rain in autumn.

  2. Day -2. Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley-an altitude of 1400m.
  3. Day-3. Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara an altitude of 830m. 7 to 8 hours.
  4. Day-4. Drive pokhara to phedi and trek to Dampus an altitude of 1600m. 5 to 6 hours.
  5. Day-5. Dampus to Forest camp an altitude of  2400m. 5 to 6 hours
  6. Day-6. Forest camp to mardi himal lower camp an altitude of 3130m. 4 to 5 hours.
  7. Day-7. Lower camp to mardi high camp an altitude of 3580m. 5 to 6 hours.
  8. Day-8. Mardi himal high camp to hike Base camp an altitude of 4500m. and back to lower camp an altitude of 3130m. 7 to 8 hours.
  9. Day-9. Lower camp to Siding village and drive to Pokhara an altitude of 830m. 7 to 8 hours.
  10. Day-10.Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu an altitude of 1400m. 7 to 8 hours.
  11. Day-11.Depature day.
